Gourmets experts apply practical measures to protect the produce in their farm. One such step involves planting an occasional marigold bush beside a patch of herbs. Aesthetically attractive, the marigold also has a surprisingly useful purpose, it repels unwanted pests thus protecting the plants around it.
Aside from the more commonly known herbs, Gourmet also explores possibilities in growing and introducing new and exciting herbs into the market.

The coffee and tea roasting areas are definitely the most aromatic sections in the Farm. Producing up to 2.4 tons of coffee daily and with a roasting capacity of up to 100k this area is busy at all times. The production of coffee begins with the sourcing of the beans which are then separated according to size for a more balanced roasting. After roasting the beans are stored for a maximum of 2 days before blending and grinding takes place. This lengthy process has resulted in the best Gourmet coffee blends available in the market today.
On the other hand the process for tea production is not as lengthy. The fresh herbs and vegetables are first washed, then dried and ground before being packed into tea bags for distribution. Gourmet’s line of healthy tea is making its presence known and customers can now enjoy the healthful benefits each variety has to offer.
At the center of the farm lot lies “ST JOSEPHS SANCTUARY”. Fondly called "THE MONKS INN PLACE” by the Gourmet family, it serves as a meditation and retreat house for those searching for some peace and quiet. Available to the public, with its 10 rooms it can accommodate up to 25 persons at one time.
